Evaluation

In this project we were asked to create our own short film about secretes in a group of three. We all had to come up with our own idea for the short film and then we were put into our groups. In the group that I was in was me, Reece and Sam and the final idea for our short film was Reece’s which was about this boy who lost his virginity with this girl and only managed to last a minute. But the girl told someone who told everyone that he knew so as he was walking along the path and someone comes up to him.

We had to do quite a lot of research for this short film because it can be such a sensitive subject for some people. To start with we had to research with what target audience our short film was for so we chose 12A so we started to research more into what we would be allowed to show in a 12A so that was secondary research because its already someone else’s work what we were looking at and then we were told to do some primary research where we made our own questionnaire on www.Servermonkey where we had to create our own questions that will help us get research so we know what sort of film people want to see.

As we got further into our film ideas we had to start planning which one we were going to do in our groups out of the three different ideas. We ended up choosing Reece’s so we had to plan how we were going to shoot it.  And also we had to fill out specific paperwork such as:
Call Sheet
Story Board
Location Regge Sheet
Audience Profiling

our first filming session for secrets film.

At the start of our lesson we watched this short film called 'It's Your Future' by 'Gary Turk' and while we were watching it we had to fill out a sheet where we had to say all the shots and the compositions that were used in the film and then we had to answer different questions about the film:

After this we went out to film as a group but we couldn't really get the shots that we wanted because we were all filming together so we didn't have much time to get our done so we had to do it over break but the light started to get darker so were going to try and re film everything next week.

When we got back we had to asses other peoples work:

group short story

We are choosing the short story to be a 12a because it is going to be about sex but it doesn't actually say anything about sex and no sexual words and the most sexual word that will be in our short story would be a 'v' meaning vaginity. But it is also suitable for children because it teaches them.
